A day which threatened rain. Open fields, over the hills beyond Ocina de la Veldoncina, heading to Chozas de Abajo 12 or so kilometers into the day's walk. Not too many other pilgrims sited, but a serious challenge to our pace by a young woman who eventually fell by the wayside, not to be seen again after Chozas de Abajo where we stopped for a coffee.
