Rose late and breakfasted at the lovely hotel we had chosen after the hostal we had booked proved to be already closed for the winter. A good amount of rain upon leaving, which was a good test for the waterproof poncho I had aquired in Astorga the night before - very good, but a bit much once the rain stopped. The country is changing as we move closer to Galicia - hills, oaks and this village (almost like something out of Wales). We walked together today until around the small village of El Ganso, afterwhich I strode ahead to Rabinal del Camino.
